LibGuides is a web 2.0 content management and publishing system created by SpringShare.
LibGuides are online web pages created by librarians to help patrons perform various tasks, such as using library resources or doing research.
Is the "Lib" pronounced as in "liberation" or as in "library"?
"According to Slaven, our chief Springy and all-around expert, the intended pronunciation is Lib-as-in-Liberty. But you know, one definition of liberty (thanks to www.dictionary.reference.com) is: "... freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice." So with that in mind, let's celebrate our liberty and say "LibGuides" in whatever way feels right!"
